' - ' ,. - 1 J' Utah'sBest Mounts to Be Shown Biggest event of the coming week for the southeast area in fact for the whole city and state is the benefit horse show-to show-to be held at Mount Olympus stables next Wednesday. Thursday, Thurs-day, Friday and Saturday, for the benefit of the American Cancer Society. The show was to have been "held this week, but well, you know what the old weather man did! So the whole show was just put over a full week and it wil be better bet-ter than ever. Fanciest saddle and harness stock of the west will be on display dis-play during the four-day event, vieing for more than S2000 in cash prizes, and numerous trophy tro-phy awards. L. H. Strong, show manager and host for the event, announces that the box reservations reserva-tions and the whole reserved area is going fast to eaeer ticket buyers, and it looks like i capacity ca-pacity turnout will be there to see'' the equine aristocracy in action. ac-tion. Officers in charge of the event in addition to Mr. Strong are E. Earl Johnson, general chairman, Charles P. Rudd. assistant as-sistant manager and Mrs. J. L. Wirthlin, state commander of the Utah division of the American Amer-ican Cancer society. The services' serv-ices' of Arthur Woolley, Osden attorney and well known Utah horse fancier, and expert, have been obtained as show judge. H. Grant Ivins is ringmaster, Col. C. R. Fleming. Seth T. Shaw1 and Capt. S. W. Rawls, announcers, Avaron Osguthorpe, veterinarian, veterinar-ian, and Max Thompson, clerk. More than forty horses have been entered in the various events, and the owners' list includes in-cludes Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Buchanan, Bu-chanan, Farmington: Mrs. C. J. MISS MARCIE I VERS Among the state's accomplished equestrians who will ride and drive in the four-day horse show at the Mt.
