Show Chamber Plans Safety Meet Sugar House business men will pay their respects and show their appreciation to members of the police and fire depart-j ments at the regular monthly j meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce Wednesday, June 20. at Weasku Inn. The luncheon will start at 12:15 p.m. j Chamber President John C. Barnes announces that the day has been designated Public Safe-tv Safe-tv Day. and that special euests at the luncheon will be Public Safetv Commissioner L. C. liom-ncv. liom-ncv. Fire Chief J. K. Piereey and Police Chief Reed Vetterli. in addition to Lt. Charles J. Larson, Lar-son, in charge of the Sugar House police detail, and Captain J. E. Goalen. in charge of the Sugar House Fire station. "It is our purpose to show respect re-spect and our appreciation to the public safety . department fnr tlio finn inh thpv hnve done and are doing in this section," declared Mr. "Barnes. "During the tenure of this administration administra-tion we have had no major fire nor any rime or traffic accident of a serious nature here, and we feel that this area is gettinsr the best protection it is possible for a department to give." Several other matters related to the police and fire departments depart-ments will be discussed. |
