Show S. H. Rotarians Hear Plea For Bond Sales Sugar House Rotarians heard; an earnest appeal for support of the Mighty Seventh War Loan in view of the fact that the Utah sales are running far below the need to fill the state quota, at the regular luncheon Thursday at Weasku Inn. The appeal was made by Mack C. Corbett, publicity pub-licity director for the Utah War Finance committee. In addition to the talk by Mr. Corbett, the bond drive was further spurred by the appearance of two of the bond queen contestants, Miss Leda Manwill, sponsored by the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce Com-merce and Beta Sigma Phi r.or-ority, r.or-ority, and Miss Vivian Faucett, sponsored by the Salt 1 ake Butchers and Grocers Association. Associa-tion. Another feature of the meeting was the appearance of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority trio in a novelty song -sequence. L. H. Stratford, club president, was in charge of the meeting, and announced plans Vor the club's - annual installation banquet ban-quet and dance, to be held at the Hotel Utah June 28, starting at 7:30 p.m. At this time the new officers, recently elected, will take over the club's management for the coming year. The new officers are: S. C. Leaver, president; John B. Cahoon, vice president; Samuel J. Nicholes, secretary (relected) and Heber F. Aldous, treasurer. New directors named include John E. Harris and Donald R. Hobbs, along with the retiring president, Mr. Stratford. The club has recently com-ipleted com-ipleted a successful clothing .drive and has been instrumental instrumen-tal in promoting and sponsoring sponsor-ing the Boys and Girls Club prr gram at Fairmont Park.
