Legion Team Near Top in Junior League The Sugar House entry in the American Legion Junior - baseball base-ball league wound up the first half of the season schedule with a decisive 1S-5 victory over Mag-,na Mag-,na Tuesday at Magna, to finish the half in second place. Last Friday the lads took the measure of Salt Lake Post No. 2 by a c6unt of 12 to 4. In this same Jones pitched great ball, allowing allow-ing only three hits, and two of them after the sixth inning. Treseder took credit for the win at Magna, allowing only three hits. ""'The' boys, tinder" the direction of Clay Mills, post athletic manager, man-ager, start their second half play today against Murray at Murray. Mur-ray. The remainder of the schedule is: July 2, at Draper; July 5, Bingham at Bingham; July 9, Jordan at Jordan; July 12, Bennion at Municipal No. 2; July 16, Salt Lake Post 2 at Municipal Mu-nicipal No. 1; July 19, Magna at Municipal No. 1. The team has an excellent chance of making the state tournament, tour-nament, as it has been decided that the leading nines of both the city and the county will qualify for this event.
