Show around the COR In N SUGAR HOUSE E With the Editor Patrolmen U. L. Thorpe and ' J. E. Banks will have charge of the peace and safety department around Sugar House the next couple of weeks while Lt. Charles J. Larson is having himself him-self a time back east. Charlie, the Mrs. and their daughter, leave July 4th on the special train for the Elks convention In New York and an extended vacation in eastern parts. Speaking of policemen, Ed Gallagher, Sugar House's new motorcycle patrolman, is doing a nice job keeping the traffic ; under control around this sec- j tion. Ed and the other boys on j the traffic detail are keeping the : long-parkers and double-parkers j on the move, and he runs down and tickets any motorist who tries to highball through this section. Traffic tieups and accidents ac-cidents have taken a decided drop since he was assigned out here. Paul Pehrson and family returned re-turned from a week in Yellowstone Yellow-stone this week, and Paul brought home enough fish to bear out his statement that the fish are anywhere if you just know how to get tiem. He says the park is packed with people, and advises anyone going up that way to take tent and sleeping sleep-ing equipment (he doesn't care where you buy them) . or run the risk of spending those chilly nights hugging a campfire. There just aren't enough accommodations accom-modations to go round. Another vacationer back with us is John C. Barnes, chamber of commerce spark-ping, spark-ping, who spent over a week with relatives and friends in southern California. He did his traveling by air, and took ' a bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon, Mead Lake and the Boulder dam en route home. , The Parishes, Mr. and Mrs. I Frank V., are back, Itoo. They i went to New England for their daughter's marriage, and found hotel and plane reservations plenty hard to manage. Everybody's Every-body's traveling these days, it seems, and you just can't depend de-pend on any advance reservations reserva-tions or plans holding good. If you think I'm tall, wait'll you see my cousin, Jim Cannon, who's taking over the advertising advertis-ing work on the Bulletin. Jim extends about six five and a half straight up without straining strain-ing and makes me feel downright down-right diminutive. He has three brothers all over six two too. He should be an able aid in my one-man drive ot get the Sugar House awnings elevated. Have you checked your snb-j,' snb-j,' scription expiration date lately? late-ly?
