Show Olympus Jr. High BOYS CHORUS SINGS The Granite Junior High School Boys Chorus fifty-five voices strong presented a program pro-gram for the Seventh and Eighth Grades, Thursday, March 3rd. TEEXAGE FORUM Three Olympus students, Vau-na Vau-na Gunn, Marilyn Clark, and Helen Christiansen, participated in The Deseret News Teenagers Forum in th February 27th issue. We are making posters in Mrs. Roberts' art class to illustrate il-lustrate our "National Songs," "The Star Spangled Banner" and "America." Every boy and girl is helping on it. Some are printing, print-ing, others drawing figures, and still others coloring. Dancing can be very fun! "Swing your Come r" and "Promenade" can be heard often in room 7 these days, as we are learning to Square Dance. We know "Buffalo Boy" and several other square dances but the most fun of all is the mixer called "Cotton Eyed Joe." Mrs. Roberts' Fifth Grade. Mrs. Dover's class went up t '. East Mill Creek Canyon to visit a power station. The manager, Mr. Swan, took us all the wav through it. We are studying electricity elec-tricity and it will help us in our studies. Mrs. Dover's Sixth Grade. AIR PRESSURE In Mr. Hicken's room we are studying air pressure. We are finding out a lot about the weather. We know that lowj pressure brings storms and bad weather, while high pressure! I brings good weather. ' |
