Show Four Westminster Students Listed In Who's Who Westminster College received word last week that four students stu-dents had been named in "Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges." This is the first time such an honor has beer, accorded a student at the college, col-lege, officials stated. Listed in the annual yearbook year-book of the nation's outstanding campus leaders were: Virginia Klapakis and Walter Miller, seniors sen-iors and Ralph Lubeck and Lincoln Anderson, juniors. These tour siuaeius wcie i-no en by a faculty committee or. the basis of scholarship, leadership lead-ership and cooperation m educational edu-cational and extracurricular activities, ac-tivities, general citizenship and future usefulness-Outstanding usefulness-Outstanding Students Virginia Klapakis, Price, Utah, was the 1948 May Queen, the editor of the '48 Yearbook Eto-sian, Eto-sian, and is the vice president of the senior class. Besides this latter office she is the president of the girls' dormitory. Virginia is an English major. Her practice prac-tice teaching is done at East High School. Walter Miller, Black Rock, Utah, is doing practice teaching at South High in history and psychology classes. He is a member of IRC and the historian histor-ian for the Stevenson Memorial Society. . ., . , Ralph Lubeck, is president o the student body. He was last year's president of IRC. His major is political science. Ralpr is a resident of Salt Lake City. Lincoln Anderson, Ogden, it the president of the Student Christian Association. With nis interest lying in the ministerial field Lncoln is now the pastor of Presbyteran churches in Brigham City, Utah, and Sinclair, Sin-clair, Wyoming. |
