Show Chamber Launches 1949 Progress and Promotion Fund Drive; Meeting Held A campaign for funds to finance the coming year's activities of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce started underway during the first week of Decemb er, according to Stephen C. Richards, Rich-ards, finance committee chairman. Letters Sent The first step in the drive is a solicitation letter sent to each of the business houses, property owners, and professional people in this area. A definite amount was suggested in each letter, Richards said, so that adequate funds would be available for chamber and community projects. proj-ects. Meeting on Tuesday Information on the drive will be presented in greater detail Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the monthly chamber meeting, M. L. "Bud''' Brain, chamber president, announced. an-nounced. However, Mr. Brain added, the main purpose of the Tuesday meeting was to hear a special Christmas musical program. pro-gram. The only other report to i be given in addition to Mr. Richards' will be presented by Dale R. Curtis, Christmas chairman. chair-man. The musical program is under the direction of Norval K. Gallacher.
