Show Beth Ann Sorensen Announcement Tea Was Held Saturday atjarents' Home Sorensen's this week. Cannon, another an-other daughter of ttte Soren-sens, Soren-sens, assisted with the entertaining enter-taining of guests at the pre-nuptial pre-nuptial event. The bride-elect is a junior student at the University of Utah and is affiliated with the Chi Omega sorority. Her fianci . is also a student at the univertQ ity in the school of Business. He will continue his studies following fol-lowing their marriage and a short honeymoon trip to Sun Valley. Formal announcement of the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Beth Ann, was revealed Saturday at an announcement tea held at Edgemont, the family home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace A. Sorensen, Soren-sen, 3000 Connor street. Beth Ann, well-known equestrian eques-trian and popular University of Utah coed, is betrothed to Charles "F. McDonald, son of Mrs. Farquhar McDonald, 723 Smith Place. Mrs. Sorensen and her daughter daugh-ter greeted guests during the afternoon tea hours in handsome hand-some gowns, hinting of the festive holiday season ahead. Beth Ann has chosen a poudre blue crepe formal with elaborate bead trim. White floral arrangements and tapers were used throughout through-out the house. A miniature ski couple centered the table. The figures were specially made in California to carry out the ski theme of the tea. The marriage ceremony will be performed at the home of the bride's parents midst a beautiful arrangement of bridal and Christmas decorations. Bishop Golden Haight will perform per-form the ceremony. Assisting with the receiving of guests at the tea was Mrs. Hugh H. Yancey of California who was a house guest at the |
