Show 'Sitter' Makes Off With Baby, Loot A 16-year-old girl engaged through an agency to act as a "sitter" while a couple attended attend-ed a movie in Sugar House recently, re-cently, apparently got tired of "sitting" and ransacked the house and made off with a satch-elful satch-elful of loot and the baby during the couple's absence. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Anderson, An-derson, 3185 S.'20th E. told police po-lice they left their 2-year-old daughter, Linda Kay, in care of the girl at about 6 p.m., and returned re-turned at 8:45 to find the house in disarray and the girl and the baby both gone. A half hour later the baby was located at the home of a neighbor where it had been sent by taxicab by the girl, along with a note requesting that the neighbors look after it until the parents returned. Meanwhile' the Andersons discovered dis-covered the girl had broken open two children's banks and stolen the contents along with a quantity quan-tity of clothing which had been stuffed into a traveling' bag. Deputy Sheriffs Don Tracy and German Dean located the girl at a Park St. address and recovered all the loot. The girl was taken to the county jail pending investigation in-vestigation and a hearing before juvenile court authorities. |
