Show S.H. LEGIONNAIRES TAKE ENTERTAINERS TO KEARNS Soldiers at Kearns Army Air Forces basic training center were royally entertained November 3 8 by a talanted troupe of performers perform-ers taken there by Sugar House Post No. 65 of the American Legion. Headed by R. H. Jensen, past commander, who made the opening open-ing remarks the show was fast moving and received with tremendous tre-mendous applause. Among the acts presented from Sugar House were Lorna Danger-field, Danger-field, Jeanne Jensen, Beverly Gaylor, Marlcne Peacock and II-lona II-lona Olsen all appearing in dance numbers. Acrobatic hit was Betty Lou Childs, and Mrs. Elaine Drake pleased with accordian numbers. Jeanne Jensen, daughter of Past Commander Jensen excelled in a baton number, and the dancing danc-ing of Jean Renee and Barbara Westbrook was outstanding. Dorothy Brown with ballads and comedian Merrill Bennion hit the spot with their offerings. Lee and Nowell made a hit with an adagio ad-agio number. Corp. Hal Morris of Kearns as master of ceremonies kept the show moving at a fast pace and .several soldier performers also appeared. A number of Sugar House legionnaires attended led by Commander Com-mander Phil Heilbut and District Commander C. A. Husbands. Five-year-old Joy Jarman captivated capti-vated the soldiers with songs and tap dancing. |
