Here members of the Third All-Mormon platoon., from Sail Lake City gather around., their tents on the first Sunday in camp at the Marine Corps base at San Diogo, California, to hold their own services. They are being led by Private Howaid C. Bennett, (left centei ) and Private Daniel E. Revill, both of whom have fulfilled a Mormon mission to the Northern States. The Marine Corps encourages its recruits of all faiths to attend regular services, since the Leathernecks Leath-ernecks although famed as fighters, fight-ers, recognize the place of religion relig-ion in their men's lives. |
