Show ALMOST NO COFFEE OBTAINABLE IN EUROPE Coff e-lovers of the Rocky Mountain region, in common with everyone else in the United States beginning with breakfast on Sunday, Sun-day, November 29, must face the world on about one cup per day, but they will be far better off than the people overseas. Germans have almost no coffee. Instead they drink an ersatz concoction con-coction made of acorns and grain. The Italians are even worse off. No coffee, tea or cocoa is to be had at any price in Greece, Poland Po-land of Jugoslavia. Up to the occupation oc-cupation of the whole of France, the French people were getting about three cups of co ffee a month. They may have none now. Each person in the United States who was 15 at the time sugar rations were obtained, will receive one pound of coffee for five weeks when rationing goes into effect Sunday. |
