Show STOORS SMITH I was born July 13, 1915, in Spokan, Washington. When I was five years old my family moved mov-ed to Fresno, California At the age of twelve,- I joined the scouts and in . three -years I gained the Eagle award. At sixteen I left the scouts. I entered and graduated graduat-ed from Fresno State College. I became the scout master of Troop ?0 in Fresno in 1936 and held the position for three years. For two years out of the three that I was scoutmaster, I took an active part in camping at the Sequois Council Coun-cil Camp. In 1940, I went to New York to attend the 65th National Training Train-ing School for Scout Excutives. In the spring of the same year. I was offered the position of Field Executive in the Salt Lake Council. Coun-cil. On March 1, 1940, I accepted the job. My duties include advancement, district supervisor, publicity, reading read-ing Press Club advisor, and 5, 000,000 other things. I am single but, I am trying to convince Miss Catherine Sors.en-son Sors.en-son of Fresno that Salt Lake has very fine real estate possibilties. My hobbies are hunting and fishing fish-ing and I have pictures to prove that the big ones did not get away. I guess that my most exciting experience was when I got lost for two days while camping with the Troop while I was Scoutmaster. Scoutmas-ter. Upon my return, I was presented pre-sented with a compass by the Troop. I enjoy Salt Lake because I have so many friend3. |
