Show SUPT. OF S.L.C. SCHOOLS TALKS AT P- T. A. MEETING Howard McDonald, superintend ent of the Salt Lake City schools, addressed members of the Forest School Parents-Teachers association, associa-tion, Thursday afternoon, he ex-plained ex-plained with the use of a chart, the reason for schools in the south east being over-crowed. Population in this area has grown so rapidly that Parleys, Edgchill and Sugar House ward churches have been supplemented for class rooms this term. Owing to building restrictions and the quality of materials, erection of new schools buildings have been delayed. Mrs. Clem Ferguson, vice president, pres-ident, and Mrs. Joseph Anderson, secretary were released and presented pre-sented with P.-T. A. pins as a token of appreciation of their work in the organization. Mrs. M. C. Godbe, Jr., was elected el-ected vice president and Mrs. George Daniels, secretary. The school was presented the "Schehevagade" Suite album of records for use on the Sixth and Articulating units. Mrs. W. Hamilton Wilson, president pres-ident presided at the meeting which was attended by 300 parents and teachers. The parents visited the class rooms from 2:30 to 3:30 p. m. Refreshments were served following fol-lowing the meeting. The Forest School F- T. "A. won the Gold Standard for 1943, which has 20 quadifications to meet, and is awarded by the State Congress of' P.- T. A. |
