Show ' Child Growth Study Aided A grant of $61,700 from the general gen-eral education board will enable the University of California's institute of child welfare to go still deeper into its job of learning how children grow up. For years the institute has been observing several hundred children, among scores who have been under scientific scrutiny since infancy. The results already have provided a valuable foundation for teachers and others concerned with child de velopment. Under the grant, a supplemental research center has been opened for students and teachers desiring to use the institute's facilities. The financing also will permit extension of research. |
