Show BOWLING The ladies are in the headlines in the Southeast's Hall of Fame for October 28 to November 3. Eva Bocker of the Palm team in the Forest league rolled 220 for ladies high game, and Gladys Temple of the Cardinals Ladies' had high series of 562. For the men, Wayne Blood and Ross An-thon An-thon of the Camera Centre team rolled 634 and 245 for high series and high game respectfully. On the Southside league Deseret Lumber had 1029 for the week's high game. The ladies City Tournament is on this week at the Southeast and with a good representation of the city's best bowlers entered some excellent scores should be made. Drop in to see the ladies play. The Pine team now leads the Forest league, having taken 4 points in ast week's play. The Maple team, however, had high series, 2121, and high game V18, and Madge Garton was high individual in-dividual with a 501 series, although al-though Eva Bocker had an ex- cellent 220 single. In the Southside league Dee's Hamburger still Jeads by the narrow nar-row margin of 1 point. Deseret Lumber had high series 2892 and high game 1029, but the high individual in-dividual scores went to Camera Centre's Wayne Blood and Ross Anthon with 634 series and 245 game. Honors were divided in the Southeast league last week. High series went to Salt Lake Cabinet with 2623; high game went to Ashton Heating with 927. S. H. Abrahamson of Mecca Bar had 608 for high series, and Van Mor-ley Mor-ley rolled 242 high game for Morley Bros. K's Inn holding bottom place in the Lumbermen's League came through with a 3 point win and 2710 for high series, led by D. R. Holt who had 629 series and 234 high game. High game for teams was Utah Pigeon Clflb's 968, and this team continues to lead the league. ; The Cardinal Ladies league had 3 teams taking 3 points in last week's play, the Southeast team, Bower's Furniture, and the Sugar Bowl. The Southeast had 2254 for high series, with Gladys Temple's Tem-ple's 562 series and 201 game, while Ben Franklin's high game was 799. Sugar House Coa had high series of 2614 and 946 for high game in the Sugarhouse Major league Monday night. L. Squires 5S2 was good for high series and C. Jones had 231 for high single game. In this league Granite Mill leads by one point and Sugar House Merc is tied with Fashion Cleaners for second place, but there is only 9 points difference , between first and ast teams in the entire league. |
