Show FARMERS CAN'T DO IT ALL Fred S. Saxauer, president of the Dairymen's Dairy-men's League Cooperative Assosiation, ' recently re-cently said this : "Farmers cannot raise defense de-fense food at low prices in the face of shortage short-age of help and rising costs. Farmers should patriotic, but patriotism does not consist of letting labor leaders tie up munitions, arms and-supply industries, and expect to get continually con-tinually higher wages and shorter hours." Agriculture, in short, can't be expected to make all the sacrifices. They must be shared shar-ed by other groups. If general price level? continue to go up, due to higher labor and other costs, the price of farm-produced goode must follow the trend. |
