Show Occupational Questionnaires Being Mailed Out Announcing the distribution of new occupation questionnaires (fcrm 3111) to men who have registered on February 16, Lt. Col. H. A. Rich, State Director o Selective Service, urged that they give careful thought to their skills, experience and aptitudes when filing out these forms so that the best possible use of their services may be made in the Nations Na-tions war effort. The questionnaire, which ic being distributed to February 16 registrants by their local boards later will be sent to registrants of the First and Second Registrations Registra-tions and those of future registrations, regis-trations, the State Board sn.id. Its purpose is an inventory of 'the present employment activities activi-ties of registrants and of their skills of abilities. It has no connection con-nection with, and is not to be confused with the regular Selective Sel-ective Service Questionnaire (Form 40) which is sent to all registrants, regis-trants, to obtain data on which Selective Service classification is based. The data obtained through the occupational questionnaire, the Director said, will be forwarded through State Headquarters to the National Roster of Scientific Scientif-ic and Specialized Personnel and to the United States employment Service. It will be used by these federal agencies, respectively, to locate persons with certain professional pro-fessional and scientific qualifications qualifica-tions and those who have skills or aptitudes in critical or essential essen-tial occupations for the ultimate purpose of achieving a more complete com-plete and efficient utilization of the Nation's manpower in the war production program. |
