Show State Health Report A total of 1252 cases of com-munciable com-munciable diseases was reported to the Utah State Department of Health for the week ending March 27. This is 120 cases more than were reported last week and 765 cases more than were reported report-ed for the corresponding period one year ago. Mumps led the list of communicable com-municable diseases with a total of 514 cases. This is 31 cases fewer than were reported iast week and 456 cases more than were reported one year. ago. Measles is second in number of case with a total of 266 This is 111 cases more than were reported report-ed last week. Only 31 cases of measles were reported for the corresponding period one year ago. Chickenpox is third in number with a total of 91 cases. . Since January 1. of this year, a total of 457 cases of scarlet fever has has been reported as compared with only 122 cases for the corresponding period ' one year ago. For the week ending March 27 a total of 42 cases of scarlet fever was reported. Two cases of trachoma were reported from Washington county. Other diseases reported are as follows: influenza 39, German measles 185, pneumonia 25, tuberculosis 2, whooping cough 44, gonorrhea 13, and syphilis 29. Price and Cedar City and the following counties reported no diseases; Daggett, Emery, Garfield, Gar-field, Grand, San Juan, and Uintah. |
