Show SHORTS Troop 52, with the aid of Mr. A. Gilbert, scoutmaster, and the Mutual girls of the third ward, enjoyed a bon-fire party at Liberty Lib-erty Park, Saturday, April 2ti.l A marked trail was followed to the camp site. Dorisa Warner, troop sweathart and Ruth Hoffman, Hoff-man, runner up, led the party. Many interesting games were played, and refreshments were served. ROBERT MARTIN The Pioneer Patrol of troop 17 of the Harvard L. D. S. ward has worked out a system on passing merit badges. Every two week the patrol members all pass the same merit badge. This plan sc far has worked out fine. In the patrol Buddy Morrison and Lour-ies Lour-ies Pratt are first class and will soon become star scouts. WAYNE SWENSON Troop 54 is sponsoring a "honor "hon-or patrol" contest. The requirements require-ments are be quiet and attentive in troop meetings; be courteous I to superior officers; and wear uniforms to scout functions. Jack Herring, Roy Jensen and Roy Greensides are directing the ron-test ron-test and offer as a prize an emblem em-blem to be sewed on the winning patrol's flag. RICHARD BALL A first aid kit and camping utensils will be offered as prizes in a District Rally contest to be held at Liberty Park on Thursday, May 8 by Liberty district scouters. scout-ers. Contests in the rally will be an eight-legged race, skin the snake game, first aid relay, fire-building fire-building race, scout pace run, and a sack race by the leaders. Points will be awarded scouts of each troop for first, second and tmrd places, with the prizes going to the troops with the most points. A campfire and program will complete the day.
