Show Public Health A total of 407 cases of communicable com-municable diseases was reported to the Division of Epidemiology, Utah State Board of Health, for the week ending April 25. This is 83 fewer than were reported for the preceeding week and 688 cases cas-es fewer than were reported for the corresponding week one year ago. German measels led the list of communicable diseases with a total tot-al of 148. This is a decrease of 61 cases as compared with those reported re-ported for the proceeding week. Three cases of tularemia were reported; one from Sanpete County, Coun-ty, and two from Juab County. Salt Lake City reported one case of diphtheria. This is the eoghteenth case of this disease to be reported from all sections of the State since January 1941. Two cases of undulant fever were reported, one from Provo and the other from Bountiful. Five new cases of tuberculosis were reported as follows: Salt Lake City 3, Salt Lake County 1, and Provo 1. Other communicable diseases reported were as follows: Chick-enpox Chick-enpox 79. influenza 7, measles 3, mumps 27, pneumonia 10. scarlet fever 10. whooping cough 55, gonorrhea gon-orrhea 5. and syphilis 16. No disease was reported from Cedar City nor the following counties: Daggett. Duchesne, Grand. San Juan. Summit, Uintah. Uin-tah. Wasatch, Washington, and Wayne. |
