Show OPA Representatives Appointed The appointment of John F. Betts as price representative for the Office of Price Administration Administra-tion with headquarters in Salt Lake City was annonnced Thursday Thurs-day by Mark H. Greene, OPA state price officer. He is one of six such representatives who will be stationed in key cities throughout through-out the state The field price representatives will have the special function of, training and supervising t h e j I work of price panels and clerks I now being appointed to local war ' price and rationing boards throughout the 3tate. These price panels will carry on educational activities with retailers and the public regarding OPA's price regulations and will hear com-1 plaints by consumers regarding : I alleged vilations of the regulations, regula-tions, it was stated. I Mr. Betts is a native of Salt Lake City and was educated in the Salt Lake ity schools and the University of Utah. Before ' working with OPA, he was employed em-ployed for several years in statistical statis-tical and research activities with I the Federal Works Agency before ! which he worked in the banking ' and wholesale grocery businesses, i He is active in L.D.S. Church activities. ac-tivities. I In addition to supervising the ' price control activities of the board in Salt Lake City, Mr. J , Betts will assist the local ooard activities in Salt Lake, Tooele, . and Wasatch counties and in Park City and Kamas in Summit county. ! Three other field price representatives, repre-sentatives, also announced Thursday, Thurs-day, and their places of operation opera-tion are as follows: Welden J. Taylor with headquarters head-quarters in Provo will supervise the work of the price panels in Utah, Juab and Sanpete counties. Othello C. Bowman with headquarters head-quarters in Cedar City will have charge of the work of price panels in Iron, Beaver, Millard, Kane, Garfield, Piute, Washington, Washing-ton, Sevier and Wayne counties. Irvine L.
