Orientation Week j At Westminster A feature of Orientation Week at Westminster College was the all-college picnic held Tuesday afternoon af-ternoon at Storm Mountain in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Orientation Week began Saturday Satur-day with the football game between be-tween Westminster and Adams State of Alamosa, Colo., with The Parsons getting off to an auspicious auspi-cious start with a 33-7 win. A student "mixer," sponsored by the Intercollegiate Knights and the Women of Westminster was featured feat-ured Saturday evening in the Stu-I dent Lounge. A Student - Faculty-1 Parents luncheon was held Sun-j day on the Ferry Hall lawn, with' a "Melon Bust" later in the afternoon. after-noon. Registration for all students was held all day Thursday in the Payne gymnasium. The second football game of the season was played Friday afternoon in the Dane Hansen Stadium when The Tne annual President's reception was held that evening in the Ferry Hall Lounge. The week was closed with a "hello dance" Saturday night in the Student Lounge, sponsored by the Student Government Association. Associa-tion. Classes begin next Monday. The new Young Adult section has been filled with young readers read-ers since its addition to the library on the main floor. |
