Ringsby Truck Line Makes Appointments Three new appointments in the area have been announced by Robert T. Shirley, Western Di-vision Manager for Ringsby Truck Lines, Inc. L. G. Bolton was named new Terminal Manager at Ogden. Prior to his new appointment, Bolton was employed at Ringsby's Salt Lake City terminal. He has had several years experience with various motor carrier companies, and did extension work in trans-portation for two years at the University of Utah. A veteran of four years service in the Navy during World War II, Bolton is 33 years old. Norman Lindgren was appointed to the position of Sales Represent-ative for Ringsby in Salt Lake City. Formerly with Inland Freight Lines, which has been pur-chased by Ringsby, he served for six years as a heavy duty truck driver and city dispatcher. He is a native of Salt Lake City, mar-ried, and has four children. The third appointment was Michael Loyola, who was named a member of Ringsby's Salt Lake City Customer Relations Depart-ment. He was also employed by Inland prior to the recent merger of the two companies. A former student at the Uni-versity of Utah, Loyola majored in Business Administration, and is an honorary member of that fra-ternal organization at the Univers-ity. New Courses Slated For Westminster College Second Term Eight new courses and five new instructors will be introduced the second semester. The new instruc-tors are Rabbi Mordecai Podet, H. B. Summerhays, Miss Gertrude Schwieder, Dr. Miriam James and Waide M. Condon. Rabbi Podet of Temple B'Nai Israel will conduct a course in "Prophets of the Old Testament" which will deal with the prophetic writings of the Old Testament with particular attention upon composi- - tion, teachings and their place in the Hebrew religion. Mr. Summerhays, Salt Lake businessman, will conduct a class in vocabulary building which will comprise a study of words, their roots, development and contemp-orary usage. Miss Schwieder, secretary to Joseph N. Uemura, dean of the col-lege, will conduct two new classes, one in business English and an-other in advanced shorthand. Dr. James of Salt Lake City is introducing a course in embryology which will be an introductory study of the development of certain vertebrates. Mr. Condon, recently appointed assistant to the vice president of Westminster, veteran newspaper man and a former instructor of journalism at the University of Utah, will conduct a class in journalism which will cover begin-ning news writing. Mr. Condon's responsibilities at the college also cover public relations, student re-cruitment and alumni affairs. He also is producing a weekly radio program "Religion at the News-desk- " over Station KDYL Sundays at 5 p.m., and sponsored by West-minster, the Salt Lake Ministerial Association and the Utah Council of Churches. Dr. Joseph Salvatore of the Psychology Department, will intro-duce a new course, Dynamics of Normal and Abnormal Adjustment, which will stress the psychody-namic- s of the individual, exploring the origin, development, symptoms and treatment of personality ad-justments. Fred Goerner of the Speech de-- partment, and well known in the local television and radio fields, will have a class in television pro-duction. The classes in vocabulary build-ing and advanced shorthand will offer two credit hours, that in Clerk and a copy of which is here-to annexed and herewith served upon you. .
