Woman's World - Society Parties Food JVliss Patricia Snarr John Higham Recite Nuptial Vows Miss Patricia Ann Snarr became the bride of John G. Higham in a double-ring- 1 ceremony solemnized Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The attractive bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hazen O. Snarr, 1435 El Rey St parents of the benedict are Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Higham. The couple was honored after the ceremony at a wedding break-fast at the home of the bride-grooms parents, and in the evening a reception was held, honoring the bridal pair. On this occasion the bride chose a full length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over satin featuring a stand-u- p collar and beaded se-quins and pearl trim. Her full skirt of lace had a front inset of tulle and climaxed with a sweep train. A crown of petals held her elbow length veil and she carried a white orchid surrounded by stephanotis. Maid of honor was Margaret Ann Hecderman, with Miss Colleen Day, Mary Ann Liston, Harriet Holmes as bridesmaids. Nancy Smith was junior bridesmaid, with Janet Higham and Juile Smith as flower girls The attendants were gowned in "pink ballerina length dresses fashioned on princess lines and carried pink carnations and spring violets. Best man duties were performed by Morgan Higham; David Cain, Bill Higham, Bill Mcnealy, Bill Snarr, Theo Dunham and Frank Withers ushering. Rose Gardens To Be Setting For Jamberi Club Formal Dance Members and guests will be greeted Saturday evening by Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Jamison permanent directors of the Jamberi Club, Mr. and Mrs. Shirl B. Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Ray A. Chytraus A friendship hour is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. Dancing will begin at 9:30 p.m. Ryttings Entertain at "Lustiger Abendn Schweitzer Kostum" Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rytting, 1635 Lone Peck Dr., have invited their friends to put on their drindls and loHirl-incjp- n and rrtpet them at. the "Tyrolian Room" at the Fisher Brewery Thursday evening. Yodeling, games, music, beer and sausage will make the evening one of gay festivity. There will be approximately 40 guests. Community Council Set Meeting For February 19 The Community Council and the Metropolitan Study Committee have planned a public meeting' to be held Tuesday, Feb. 19f at Olym-pus High School at 8 p.m. C. Nelson Day, chairman, urged that all residents of the community attend. |
