Show Paper Offers Two New Boats In Subscription Campaign Saturday is kickoff day for the South East Independent! The occasion isn't a football game, but it is of a sporting nature. On that day the Independent Inde-pendent will open a subscription subscrip-tion drive that will result in awarding of two new boats to someone in this area. The Independent has its eye on 7500 new subscribers. To reach this goal, the paper will hold a unique give-away contest. con-test. A brand new Convertible Cabin Cruiser, complete with motor and all accessories including in-cluding a trailer, will be given to the group of boys who can bring in the most new subscriptions. subscrip-tions. Any neighborhood group of boys may enter this contest. The only requirements being that the boys are no younger than 12-years-old and no older than 18, and that no more than 10 boys of the same group can sell subscriptions at the same time. Call Paper For further information, boys or their leaders are urged to call the editor of the Independent Indepen-dent at HU 5-8261. -This is a golden opportunity for a group of boys to get joint ownership of one of today's most beautiful cabin cruisers. Don't let the chance slip by. But that isn't all. The losers will win, too. . The boys will receive a cash award of twenty-five twenty-five cents for each subscription turned in. This means that all groups - can at least earn enough money to- purchase some needed equipment. And there will be an award for a lucky subscriber. The subscriber will receive a year's subscription to' the paper for only $3.00, and will also have the opportunity to win a brand new speed boat equipped with . motor and accessories. Drawing Set. . Each subscriber will be given a number, and at the end of the drive a drawing will be held, supervised by the Sugar House Kiwanis Club, with the holder of the lucky number winning the Sea Champ.
