He has covered six national political conventions and has questioned and interviewed inter-viewed hundreds of political leaders including Richard Nixon, Nix-on, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Car-ter, Ronald Reagan, Pat Moynihan, Henry Jackson, Tom Eagleton, Jake Garn, Orrin Hatch and Peter Rodino. MR. CAPENER served on the board of the Congressional Correspondent's Association and as chairman of the Freedom Free-dom of Information committee for the Radio and TV News Directors Association. From 1965 to 1972 Mr. Capener was vice president of KSL Radio and TV in charge of news and public affairs. Ted Capener will speak on the subject of "Washington Press and Politics: Poli-tics: the Truth of the Matter." MR. CAPENER was named vice president of news and public affairs for Bonneville International Corp. in 1981. He oversees news and public affairs programming for all 13 of Bonneville's radio and TV stations. Before his recent return to Salt Lake City, Mr. Capener served for over nine years as chief of the Washington News Bureau for Bonneville.
