Show Indian Committee Members Gather At Whiterocks Approximately 130 members of the Indian Relations committee commit-tee of the Uintah Basin Indian mission attended the meeting-conducted meeting-conducted in Whiterocks chapel last week by Elder Golden R. Buchanan, Indian co-ordlnator for the LDS church. Mission leaders in attendance included the stake presidents of the four Uintah Basin stakes, Indian missionaries, and members mem-bers of the Indian relations committees. com-mittees. Elder Buchanan introduced intro-duced numerous Indians who had journeyed from all parts of the area to attend this mission mis-sion conference. He explained to the mission leaders the procedure pro-cedure of the mission program and ward responsibility. Mission President James E. Bacon reported that Primary was being held ' at the Whiterocks White-rocks school each Sunday morning morn-ing with 25 Indian children present; at Randlett each week, with 43 Indian children attending; attend-ing; a general meeting in Ouray with 78 Indians present; and Sunday Schoql at Alterra seminary sem-inary with 45 Indians attending. Three baptisms were reported on Feb. 26, During Elder Buchanan's visit vis-it to the Mission, Elders D. L. Johnson and Vernon E. Morris, who have been laboring in the Uintah. Basin Indian mission field, were released to return to their former field in the Southwest South-west Indian mission, headquarters headquar-ters at Gallup, N. M.
