Show Renee Stewart, John Chasel Wed In Saturday Rites Glowing candlelight and a floral flor-al setting of delicately shaded gladioli and roses lent beauty to the Stewart residence Saturday Satur-day evening' when Miss Renee Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Stewart, of Roosevelt, pledged her hand in marriage to John D. Chasel, son of Mr. Jerry Chasel, of Ne-ola. Ne-ola. The bridal party stood before a lace covered table, ornamented ornamen-ted with a three-teir wedding cake, flanked with lovely arrangements ar-rangements of gladioli in silver vases and lighted pink tapers in crystal holders, The lovely bride, given in marriage by her father, was a radiant picture in a gown of white slipper satin, fashioned with high round neckline, sparkling spark-ling yoke of seed pearls, and a wedding-ring waist falling into a voluminous cathedral train. A crown of dainty seed pearls held her lace-edged veil of bride's illusion, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and white gladioli, orchid centered. Her sister, Mrs. Garth Gardner, Gard-ner, attended her as matron of honor, She wore a floor-length model of deep red, complimented complimen-ted by a carnation corsage. Little Lit-tle Diane Jensen acted as train bearer, and Richard Larsen performed per-formed best man duties. The wedding march was played play-ed by Miss Marilyn Anderson. For the occasion, the bride's mother chose a floor length gown of white, with corsage of pink and white carnations. Immediately following1 the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. Chasel greeted friends at a reception re-ception at the Stewart residence. resi-dence. Assisting the newlyweds in greeting their guests were the bride's parents, and the father fa-ther of the bridegroom. The Misses Maurine Gilbert, LaVaur Reynolds and Peggy Luke had charge of the gift room, while the Misses Marlene Fredrickson, Carol Patry and Lorraine Anderson assisted with the serving- Mrs. Ted Thomas was in charge qf refreshments. Background music during the evening included piano selections selec-tions by Marilyn Anderson and Larry Wilson, and vocal duets by Beverly White and Jack Bac-con. |
