Show Roosevelt Ward Galls Six LDS Missionaries Five boys and one girl will leave from the Roosevelt ward in the near future to fill missions mis-sions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: Earl McKenna, Bob Benson, Jimmy Aitken, Luelma Brod-enck, Brod-enck, LeRoy Pulos and Kent Nelson. Mr. McKenna, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert McKenna, will enter the Salt Lake Mission home November 6, preparatory to filling a British mission, with headquarters in London. Mr. Aitken, who arrived in Roosevelt in 1948 from Liverpool, Liver-pool, England, will serve in the British mission field, also headquartered head-quartered in London. He will enter the mislson home in Salt Lake City, October 16. Mr. Benson, a son of Mrs. Murel F. Benson, will leave October Oc-tober 2, to enter the Salt Lake mission home before going to the Northwestern States mission field. Miss Broderick will enter the mission home on October 3. She will serve a mission to the Southern states. She is a daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Hillard Broderick. LeRoy Pulos, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pulos, will serve his mission in the Western-Canadian field, with headquarters at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He will enter the Salt Lake mission home October 2. A sixth missionary, Kent Nelson, Nel-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson, is awaiting his call. A farewell party honoring the departing missionaries will be held Tuesday evening, September Septem-ber 26, at 7 p. m. in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Stake recreation hall. A banquet, program and dance will be features of the evening's entertainment. |
