Show Rev. Trow Family Home From Florida Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Trow and family returned May 24 from Miami, Florida, where they attended at-tended the Annual Southern Baptist Convention . from May 12 through 18. Rev. Trow, pastor pas-tor of the local Baptist Church, reported that the convention this year had a record attendance attend-ance as representatives of. more-than more-than 7,000,000 Southern " Bar-, tists gathered to direct the en-i ergies of the denomination, for the propagation of the Gospel. Rev. Billy Graham, an evangelist evan-gelist of world fame, spoke to an estimated crowd of 20,000 on Youth Night. The Miami Daily News reported this as the largest indoor gathering ever held in Miami. The local Baptist . Church, Rev. Trow points out, is not governed by the Convention. While enroute to the convention. conven-tion. Rev. and Mrs. Trow and family visited with . Mr. and Mrs. Olen ( Perryman and family fam-ily at Lubbock, Texas. The Perrymans are former Roosevelt Roose-velt residents. Mrs. James Butcher and her two children accompanied the Trows on the .trip as far as Adel, Georgia, where they stopped to visit with relatives and friends while the Trows attended at-tended the convention in Miami. . i : |
