Show iOrrr rrfclarr -- - Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weiss and son, Dick, Mrs. Eva Ellis and Miss Carma Ellis left Tuesday to spend several days in Salt Lake City. Carma will remain there with her mother, Mrs. Edna Ellis. Business callers in Salt Lake this week were Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt. Salt Lake City visitors last Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson and daughter, Linda. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Joseph Shanka and Reed Hancock. An overnight guest at the Peterson home Friday was Mrs. Peterson's mother, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Allred, of Gusher. They visited in My ton Friday with Mrs. Liza Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Malin and son, Doug, left Thursday morning to spend the balance of the week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lula Mullins is enjoying a two-week vacation in California. Cali-fornia. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Caldwell and daughter, Janice, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caldwell, of Oakland, Oak-land, California, arrived last week to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Marion Alexander .and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lambert. The Caldwells are old-time residents of the Basin. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Laris and children were Salt Laka , City visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Muse Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Max Burdick left Wednesday for a two-week vacation in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bowman and daughters, Dearwyn and Deanna, were business visitors in Salt Lake City Sunday and Monday. Arriving Tuesday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Horace All-red All-red were their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chall Allred and daughter, Mary Ann, of Burley, Idaho. Mrs." Donna Burgess, of Salt Lake City, arrived last Friday for a week's visit with Mrs. Homer P. Edwards. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum were Salt Lake City visitors Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Martin, of San Diego, visited Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Me-. Me-. cham. Mrs. Martin is the former form-er Caroline Palmer, of Ioka. This is her first visit in this county for thirty-five years. Mr. and Mrs. Axel Birch returned re-turned last Thursday from a three-week visit to several southern states. They spent most of their time in Georgia and Louisiana. However, during their tour they were in fourteen states. COINCIDENCE It has be-2n brought to our attention that the drum majors in four schools have been elected president of their respective schools for next year namely, Altamont, Curtis Dastrup; Duchesne, Clive Moon; Union, Karl Murray; and Vernal, Dale Ross. That uniform must have some appeal. A houseguest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison is Mrs. Harrison's father, A. F. Brown, of Salt Lake City. He arrived Monday night to spend several days. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murphy a'nd family were Salt Lake City visitors last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge and son. Burke, enjoyed Sunday night at their cabin in Uintah Canyon. Miss Verna Cook, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, arrived Tuesday Tues-day to visit with Miss Gay Patry. Mr.' and Mrs. Jimmy Bacon, of Burley, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon. They returned home Sunday afternoon. Sgt. Phil W. Nielson of the U. S. Air Force, left Wednesday, May 21, to report back to Harmon Har-mon Field, New Foundland. He has been stationed there a year and after six more months of duty will be trasnferred back to the states. Mrs. Neilson is the former LaRue Liddell. Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair were Mt. Pleasant visitors last Sunday Sun-day and Monday. Returning home with them were their son, Glen, and John Ruppel, both students at Wasatch Academy, Acad-emy, arriving home for summer vacation. Miss Nancy Marimon. daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marimon, of Whiterocks, drove to Los Angeles with her brother. broth-er. Bob, following her graduation gradua-tion Monday from Wasatch Academy, to make arrangements arrange-ments to enter Occidental College Col-lege in the fall. She will attend the college on a scholarship Bob Marimon is also a student at Occidental. Mrs. L. K. Ledbetter and son, Lonnie K.,. plan to leave this week to vacation in Dallas, Tex.
