With winter coming on we should be thinking of ways to reduce the cost of heating our J homes. The use of Insulation is i one of the best ways to accomplish accomp-lish this. The need for using special insulation will depend upon the construction of your home. Here are a few comparisons compar-isons of the insulation value of different materials. The following is the thickness in inches required of each material ma-terial to give equal to one inch of rock wool insulation or other similar materials: cork : board, 1.0; insulating board, 1.1; dry mill shavings, 2.4: lumber sheeting, 3.0; brick, 16.6, concrete con-crete or stone, 27.8. YOURS FOR THE ASKING: The new extension bulletin No. 177, "Mile-High Cakes." is full of receipts proven to be good for our altitude. This bulletin is yours for the asking and 10c. |
