Show Neola Woman Wins Crochet Contest; Flowers Judged Winners in the Women's Department De-partment at the 1955 Duchesne County Fair have been announced by Mary Lois Reichert, home demonstration agent. The Nation-wide Crochet contest con-test winner was Melba Basian, of Neola. Her entry was an ecru-colored bedspread with a raised flower flow-er design. A single pink dahlia was adjudged ad-judged "Queen of the Show" in the Flower Department. This exhibit ex-hibit was by Ruth Hartman, of Altamont. Second choice in the flower show was a gladioli arrangement ar-rangement by Clara Young, of Altamont, Al-tamont, and third choice was a vase of asters exhibited by Midge Memmott of Roosevelt. Janice Barton, of Roosevelt, was winner of the "Save with Cotton Bag" contest. Her entries were a luncheon cloth with four napkins, a doll, blouse, pajamas and man's I shirt. |
