' The Roosevelt Fish and Game club will elect officers Monday, March 29, at 8 p.m. and launch upon a program to' re-establish itself firmly as a strong wildlife wild-life conservation group. I Mrs. Lillian T. Majally, associate asso-ciate director of field service for the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Wo-men's clubs, will be a Roosevelt guest Friday, March 26. Nine girls from the Alterra Chapter, FHA, played their usual us-ual important role, and garnered garner-ed a fair share of the honors at the FHA annual spring festival festi-val held March 20 at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ann Emerson, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, recently offered the third of her children to the armed services, of the nation.. Her two boys, Floyd and Blaine, are serving ser-ving in the Signal Corps and Navy Radio School, respectively. respective-ly. Now a daughter Jane, has enrolled in the Women's Army Auxiliary corps for uncombat-ant uncombat-ant duty. Semi-finals in the Declamation Declama-tion talks by the Roosevelt Seminary Sem-inary under the direction of H. Bartley Heiner, principal, were held Monday. Finals will be held Sunday, when the following students will participate: Colleen Pitt, Delphia Collins, Ardith Morrill, Leola Mitchell, Nello Allen, Ru-lon Ru-lon Smithson and Lowell Hall. Marvin Oldroyd, of Elko, Nevada, Ne-vada, has moved to Roosevelt and will be the new .butcher at Safeway store. 20 Years Ago The Roosevelt Golf club members mem-bers met in the Commercial club rooms Thursday evening, when, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: ! President, Clarence L. Ashton; vice-president, Paul Wilkins; additional ad-ditional directors, Ray S. Jordan, Jor-dan, Ezra Burton and Albert Crumbo;- secretary - treasurer, Dan L. Allen. Earl DilLman won first prize, Donald Lublin, second and Ar-vid Ar-vid Fredrickson, third, in the final tryouts of the Vanguard retold story contests held Tuesday Tues-day evening at Mutual. During the opening exercises, Harold Bircher and Connie Denver sang j two selections,- with Harold ac- companying on the guitar. I Miss Elva Mecham, of Upalco, a former student of the Roosevelt Roose-velt High School, was married to Leo Paradise, of Milwaukee, Wis., on March 1st at Myton.
