Show Ramdlett By Mrs. Viola Jensen Relief Society Sponsors Party The Relief Society held their annual party Thursday evening. A delicious dinner was served by the ladies. Mrs. Hazel Brough was refreshment chairman. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Taylor were in charge of a very clever program. pro-gram. There were several stunts and two vocal solos by Mrs. Bette Jensen, of Leota, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Leah Chandler. Dr. and Mrs. George R. Buck and two children, of Denver, Colo., were weekend visitors at the Harold Dudley home. Dr. . and Mrs. Buck attended a medical med-ical convention in Salt Lake. A number of boys from the community attended the state basketball tournment in Provo. Those attending were: Lyle Pickup, Dick McMullin, Grant Pickup, Clyde Jarman, Richard Durfee, Larry and Bob Dudley. A birthday surprise party was held Saturday in honor of Miss Irene Jensen. Twelve guests were present. Games were played and refreshments served. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. " Jensen were Vernal visitors Friday. Albert Harris, o"f the Stake High Council, was a visitor at Sunday School and Sacrament meeting Sunday. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were: Nevell Anderson, Ander-son, Miss Loye Harris and Lawrence Law-rence C. Wall, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harris and baby daughter were Salt Lake visitors the patter part of the week. Mrs. Lee Barlow, of Bluebell, spent the fore part of the week visiting at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fahy Durfee. Mrs. Lola Christensen, of Vernal, Ver-nal, visited the Avalon school, Monday. Men of the ward worked on the Church Welfare farm Wednesday Wed-nesday and the Relief Society served lunch to them. Mjsa Hazel Brough and Mrs. Madge Wall were Vernal visitors, visi-tors, Wednesday. |
