Show Sweetheart Ball Is February 17 At Victory Park One of the highlights of the social dancini season will be the annual Sweetheart Ball to be staged Saturday. Feb. 17, at Victory Park, under rponsor-ship rponsor-ship of the Krr.ioea! Student School Council, president for which i:i Lowell Kob;rU. of Uintah high school, Vernal. Feature of the evening will be the crowning- of the queen, who will be chosen from six queens vieing . for the honor from the various high schools of the region. She will be selected se-lected by points given by the appointed judges. Girls participating in the queen contest are: Roosevelt. Sherry Dennis; Alterra, Lou Ann Morrill; Uintah, Marilyn Siddoway; Duchesne, Karren Carman; Altamont, LaRue Rowley: Row-ley: and Tabiona, Coy Miehie. An invitation is extended to all region residents to attend this formal affair and enjoy dancing to Reynold's orchestra. Final meeting of the Uintah Basin Associated Student council coun-cil was held at the Roosevelt high school M o n d a y ' night, where plans were completed for the ball. Presiding over the meeting was Mr. Roberts. Mau-rine Mau-rine Gilbert, of Roosevelt, is vice president, and Shanna Ballon, Bal-lon, of Alterra, is secretary-treasurer. |
