Show liUjtCH Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Legion Is Host To Basin Posts The American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit 5, were hosts to members mem-bers of the posts and units from Duchesne, Altonah, Roosevelt and Vernal Friday evening at a district party at the Oasis hall. Among the distinguished guests present were Wm. Sut-teer, Sut-teer, commander of District 5, who was accompanied by his wife and daughter, of Ft. Duchesne, Du-chesne, and District President Clista Angus, of Roosevelt. A special program consisted of two selections by a vocal duet, du-et, Joan Funk and Dale Pet- erson, accompanied by Mrs. O. I A. Dart; ballet dancing, by Sher-ry Sher-ry Karren, with accompaniment ' by her sister, Jo Ann. both of Vernal vocal solos by Mrs. Lionel Li-onel Babcock, and piano solos by Jo Ann Karren. Cards and dancing were enjoyed by the large crowd. Music was furnished by Rudy Krissman and Frank Liddell. Delicious refreshments were served by the Auxiliary mem- bers to about 100 guests. j Mrs. Wm. Preece Sr.. was hostess to members and guests of the Friday Bridge club at her home Friday afternoon. Enjoying En-joying her hospitality were Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Rex Lamb and Mrs. S. F. Morten-Isen. Morten-Isen. High score prize was award-! award-! ed to Mrs. Dalgleish. I Members of the Sunday Night club were guests of Miss Alice Todd and Lee Cooper at the Todd home Sunday evening. A delicious supper was served to Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck. Bridge was the evening's diversion. Prizes I were won by Mr. and Mrs. iFIoyd Lamb and Mrs. Robinson I Ward officers enjoyed a social I meeting at the L.D.S. ward cha-ipel cha-ipel Saturday evening. Todd, and Mr. and Mrs. Anderton, Ander-ton, of Roosevelt, were in attendance at-tendance at the Myton ward conference Sunday evening. I Chester Mathison, who has been quite ill for some time, !was taken to Salt Lake City : Thursday, where he will remain ' to receive medical attention. ; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Giles and baby went to Salt Lake City, 'Friday, to visit with friends ; and relatives, returning home ; Sunday evening. I Miss Edith Nell Preece was ! a week-end guest at the home I of relatives in Vernal to attend I the Military Ball, Friday eve-. eve-. ning and the Fireman's Ball, I Saturday evening. N. L. Wimmer, of Duchesne, was a Myton business visitor, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, visited Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Wednesday. Mrs. Ted Thomas, Sr., who has been residing in Price, returned re-turned to Myton Friday. Mr. Thomas joined her here Sunday Sun-day They will take over the management of their hotel during dur-ing the absence of their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Jr. As a naval reserve re-serve member, Ted Jr. is attending at-tending school in Salt Lake and will be joined by his wife and children until he is transferred to Treasure Island at San Francisco, Fran-cisco, later in the year. Ted Jr. spent the week-end here with his wife and family, returning, 'Sunday to Salt Lake City. Mrs. W. H. Koehler. of Vernal, Ver-nal, visited with friends in Myton. My-ton. Sunday. C. Leland Dalley, Dan Tan-ielian, Tan-ielian, Clifford Stutz, of Salt Lake City, and Arnold Taylor, of Vernal, met with the Tridell Farmstead Water Co. Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The Boy Scouts and Leader Lester Bartlett sponsored the movie, "Shep Comes Home," last Thursday. I Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Simmons j made a trip to Salt Lake last I week.
