Show r.i o n T 17 E L L May L. Mower Phil Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, is spending a few days furlough at home with his relatives and friends before returning to Fort Ord, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lot Powell, of Salt Lake City, visited the James L. Powell family on Thursday. Relief Society conference was held in Montwel Sunday evening. Owen Burgener, of the High Council, Coun-cil, and Mrs. Burgener, of the stake Relief Society were visitors in the ward. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Blanchard had their, baby blessed Sunday and given the name of Vicky. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crapo were in Montwel over the weekend. week-end. Bishop James E. Larsen and son, Dennis, went to Chicago to bring back some cars for the Brown Implement Im-plement Co. Monday evening the Primary Association ( presented a program on Reverence, after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. AN ALMOST FIRE A spark from the chimney set fire to the roof of Newt Miller's house recently. The Millers got the fire out before it did much damage. It was lucky they were at home. |
