Show I Reservation News - - - I S About The X UINTAH-OURAY INDIAN RESERVATION S John Bartley, area personnel director, di-rector, and Leonard Woods, area budget officer from the area office, of-fice, Phoenix, Ariz., held meetings meet-ings here Thursday and Friday with the agency employees. Calvin Hackford, son of Mrs. Sarah Hackford, and Louise Davis, of Los Angeles, Calif., were married mar-ried in Los Angeles, June 22nd. Those from here attending the wedding were Mrs. Sarah Hackford, Hack-ford, Verna Hackford and Mrs. Arlys Iorg.. The new couple will make their home in Lapoint at present. Mr. and Mrs. Everette Daniels are the parents of a baby girl, born July 12th at Vernal. Lucille Thompson left Monday for Ogden, where she will receive re-ceive medical attention this week. Marjorie Lee, of Park City, is visiting this week at the Rex Cook home. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Massie were called to Ely, Nevada, due to the death of Mrs. Massey's nephew. Albert Harris and R. O. Curry made a business trip to Salt Lake last Wednesday. Supt. H. W. Gilmore and Albert Harris left today for a three-day business trip with the Piute Res- ervations in Southern Utah. John S. Boyden, tribal attorney from Salt Lake, arrived Monday to attend the Special Business Committee meeting held Monday afternoon with the Business Committee. Com-mittee. Mr. and Mrs.. H. A. Massey, parents of C. A. Massey, and Robert, Rob-ert, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Massey, from Elko, Nevada, are visiting at the C. A. Massey home this week. Prof Lyman Tyler from the B. Y, U, arrived here today to meet with R. O. Curry, Business Manager Man-ager and the Tribal school board to explain scholarships for Indian students attending BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harmston attended at-tended the 1956 Philco showing in Salt Lake last Friday. R-N |
