Show Lt. Col., and Mrs. Randal Felter and children, Marilyn and Allan, left Monday after visiting several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Felter. They will visit briefly in Wyoming and then go to Chicago, where Lt. Col. is stationed with the U. S. armed forces. Miss Joan Wallace, of Price, has spent the past week visiting in Roosevelt with her cousin, Carol Memmott. Arriving Monday from Pueblo, Colo, for a visit at the Gordon Harmston residence were Mr. and Mrs. James Howard Abell and three children. Mrs. Fred Amundson brought her mother, Mrs. George H. Hard-inger, Hard-inger, home from Salt Lake City, where the latter recently underwent under-went an operation. Visiting at the Hardinger residence from Idaho is a daughter, Mrs, Bob Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Frandsen and family, of Salt Lake City, spent several days visiting Mr., and Mrs. Vernal Frandsen. Visiting friends in Roosevelt on Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gillespie of Provo, former Roosevelt residents-Clem residents-Clem Labrum and Marvell Neil-son, Neil-son, accompanied by Kay Labrum, Jackie and Beverly Neilson and Helen Robbing, spent last Thursday Thurs-day to Sunday fishing at Chepita Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mohlman, of Seattle, Washington, have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hanson in Roosevelt Roose-velt and at Altamont with Mr. Morlman's brother, Glen. Visiting last Friday with her sister, Mrs. Morrell' Labrum, was her sister, Mrs. Ilia Allred, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Labrum spent last Sunday in Provo visiting visit-ing with Dr. and Mrs. Grant B. Richens. Mr. and Mrs. John Powell and family plan to leave next week for Preston, Idaho, where they will engage in the Northern Gas business. They will be missed by their many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley R. Dicker-son Dicker-son and family left Wednesday for SaLt Lake City and Provo, where they will spend several days. Recent visitors at the home of Mrs. Arch Worthen were Mrs. Frank Worthen and daughter, Jane, of Nevada. All are enjoying a visit in Springville at present. Gayle and Nadine Ottosen accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ottosen to Hayward, Calif, for a ten-dav visit, after the Ottosens had spent two weeks visiting here. The girls returned home Wednesday Wednes-day of last week. While in California Nadine was a bridesmaid at the wedding of her roomate, Joanne Partington, who married Bryne White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden White of Ballard. The wedding took place at Oakland. While Mrs., Leland Ottosen is attending summer school at the University of Utah, her daughter, Gayle, is staying with her and taking a six-weeks' course in swimming, music and recreation. DeVere Wilkerson is visiting Yellowstone Park with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. White of Salt Lake City this week. He has been staying with them this summer. David M. Wilkerson spent the weekend home with his family. He is working in Moab, Utah. Visitors at the Vern Timothy home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.. Ben Wilson of Scofield and Vernon Ver-non Wilson of Price. They came to see their mother, Mrs. Benjamin Benja-min Wison, who is in the Roosevelt Roose-velt LDS Hospital. Her condition remains unchanged. Visitors at the uscar Sweat home Friday and Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Charley Sweat and Mrs. Willard A. Day of SaLt Lake. On Saturday, Carl and lone Lewis, of Las Vegas, Nevada, called call-ed at the Sweat home enroute from Chicago, 111. and Greeley, Colo. Joyce Sweat went with them to Las Vegas to visit a few days with her brother and family, Ev-and Ev-and and Margie Babcock. Mary Murphy spent the weekend week-end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murphy. She is attending summer school at the BYU. Mrs. Paul Murphy and her mother, Mrs. Alice Lublin, drove to Ogden, Monday, to get Paula Murphy, who was there ten days visiting relatives. They attended the funeral of Mrs. Lublin's brother-in-law, Edward Lublin, in Salt Lake City before returning home. Mr., and Mrs. George Hawkins, of San Francisco and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Page of Salt Lake, visited at the home of Mrs. Pearl Swain over the 4th of July. Mrs.. Swain accompanied them on a trip through Yellowstone Park, returning re-turning home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Claire Mordue and son, Johnny, of Provo, visited at the home of Mrs. Alice Lublin over the weekend. Mrs. Mordue is the former Shirleen Sparks. Mrs. Lon Logan returned Monday Mon-day morning from Reno, Nevada, after attending a two-day Western West-ern Regional B.P.W. convention. Mrs.. Logan is the Utah State B.P.W. treasurer. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gardner and family, of Provo, visited at the Theron Leavitt home Sunday. A family night was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Gardner Gard-ner of Hayden, Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ver Heusen, Sr., and daughter, Gretchen, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Van Heusen, Jr., from Ventura, Calif, stopped to see Stan Howard at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Standard last week. They were returning from Ft. Collins, Colo., where they had been on a vacation trip. ' Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy have just returned from a two-week vacation at Grand Canyon, Zions, and Bryce Canyon. They also visited vis-ited their daughters, Betty and Connie at Fredonia, Ariz. Miss Marilyn Anderson return-ed return-ed last week by plane from Rock Springs, Wyo where she spent a week's vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anderton. Mrs. An-derton An-derton and twin babies returned with Marilyn to visit with her parents and friends. Miss Barbara Anderson flew to Rock Springs, Wyo. with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Donald Anderton to visit vis-it a few days. Miss Marion Mortensen returned Saturday from Europe, where she spent three months touring in 9 countries. She made the trip both ways by boat, returning on the Maasdam. Miss Mortense'n will give a travelogue of her trip in the Roosevelt Standard in the near future. Mrs.. Andy Norling and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ogden, accompanied by Richard Harmston left Wednesday Wed-nesday for their California homes, after visiting in Roosevelt the past few weeks. Mr. Norfing will remain re-main here a few days to attend to business. Richard will visit in Vallejo until his parents, Mr., and Mrs. Ted Harmston, drive down to get him. A birthday dinner at the Harmston Harm-ston cabin in Uintah Canyon honored hon-ored Mr. Ogden Monday evening. Miss Maria Pulos, who is attending at-tending Excelsis Beauty School in Salt Lake City, and her fiance, Ronald Robb, spent last weekend visiting their parents, and making plans for their approaching marriage. |
