Show Roosevelt Splits Two-Game Series At Helper Tourney The Roosevelt Rough Riders, after getting bounced from the' State Sandlot Baseball tournament tourna-ment Saturday by Hiawatha, 16-5, came back Sunday in an exhibition game to defeat Fer-ron, Fer-ron, 10-1. By scoring eight runs after five innings of play, Hiawatha iced its game with Roosevelt, and knocked the Riders out of championship competition in their first game. At the time of the Hiawatha outburst, Roosevelt Roos-evelt had pulled back into the ball game by scoring five runs in the sixth inning to trail, 5-8. The Riders used four pitchers in the game. Dick Owen started start-ed and finished, and Don Snyder Sny-der and Fred LaRose, Neola, sandwiched between. Sunday Don Snyder set Fer-ron Fer-ron back on its ears with a brilliantly pitched game. Basin players making the trip to Helper were Wood Lawson, manager, Dick Owen, Don Snyder, Sny-der, Garnett Birchell, Fred Dil-lard, Dil-lard, Roe McDonald, Frank Adams, Ad-ams, Joe Moysh, Wejdon Rich-man, Rich-man, DeVon Fenn, and Jack McLea, Roosevelt; Ellis and Connie Denver, Ruben Sixkill-er, Sixkill-er, Ft. Duchesne; Elden Gardner and Fred LaRose, Neola. ADD ROOS .SPLITS Saturday Roosevelt defeated Bennett, 10-7, to grab the Uintah Uin-tah Basin League lead. Rand-lett Rand-lett defeated Ft.
