Show Rodeo Draws Large Crowds Crowds of 1,500 Monday, i July 24, and 750 Tuesday witnessed events at the 9th annual Altamont rodeo. All proceeds went to the Moon Lake Stake M.I.A. and to the various wards. Because of rains, a queen and her two attendants were not selected. However, Miss Joyce Rogers, Upalco, won first place for her efforts ef-forts to parade in western garb. The Talmage ward float was judged first in the parade. pa-rade. Judges were L. J. Gilbert, Gil-bert, Arcadia; Mrs. Fern Mitchell and Porter Mer-rell, Mer-rell, Duchesne. Floyd Lyons, Mt. Home, won first place in the calf-roping calf-roping contests both days. Results of the other rodeo events are not available. |
