Show BASIN BRIEFS j Sharon and Willard Anderson left Tuesday on a vacation trip to Salt . Lake City and other Utah points. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory arid family left last Friday to spend their vacation in Yellowstone Yellow-stone National park. Mrs. Reed Hancock is visiting visit-ing in Salt Lake with her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Aitken, and other members mem-bers of the family. Mr. and Mrsr C. L. Rock-wood Rock-wood and family motored to Salt Lake City last week to attend a wedding reception. Mr. and Mrs. Finley C. Pearce and their five children, returned July 27 to their home in Houston, Tex., after spending spend-ing two weeks here with Mrs. Pearce's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Eldredge, and family. During their visit Mr. and Mrs. Pearce and Mr. and Mrs. Eldredge motored to Manti to visit the LDS temple there. They were joined in Manti by Mr. and Mrs. Burr Eldredge, of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jordan, their daughter, Joyce, and Yvonne Fretwell, returned Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, after spending three days in Salt. Lake City. Harold Gardner was injured in a freak accident Tuesday morning when the wheel of a passing car spun a rock which struck him in the face, breaking break-ing his glasses and imbedding pieces of glass in his right eye. Mrs. Dwain Buchanan is visiting vis-iting friends and relatives in Salina. Miss Sarah Mae Dunn, of An-nabella, An-nabella, Ut, returned home Sunday after spending several days as a guest at the Paul Nelson residence. Carol and Nancy Hill, of Bountiful, are guests at the t John A. Gilbert residence. M Carma Carter, of Salt Lake is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Ran-dall Stewart. I Clair Larson, and sons, Dale i and Ford; Dr. R. V. Larson and son Ralph; and Dr. Larson's brother, Vincent Larson, and son, David, returned Wednesday from a 3-day fishing trip above Whiterocks. President Ray E. Dillman, of Denver, head of the LDS Western West-ern States Mission, visited last weeeknd with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dillman. Dr. Harry Berman, eye, ear nose and throat specialist, will be at the Hanson hotel Friday, August 11 from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. C- L. Ashton left last week on a vacation trip to Canada. Making the trip from Salt Lake City by plane, they visited at Banff and Lake Louise. Lou-ise. They will return to Roosevelt Roos-evelt Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Rich-man Rich-man are moving to Salt Lake City this weekend. Weldon left Tuesday, and Mrs. Richman will join him Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. R. L. Neilson are vacationing jn Canada. Joyce and Ruth Burr, Glenda Nelson and JoAnn L a b r u m spent five days last week at the U-Bar ranch in Uinta canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Labrum and Renee spent Saturday through Tuesday in Salt Lake City and Provo. Mrs. Anthon B. Christensen and son, Doug, went to Denver Thursday to meet Mr. Christensen, Chris-tensen, who was driving a new car from Detroit. L. F. Hutchings, principal of Union high school, arrived in Roosevelt Monday afternoon to establish residence here and to prepare for the opening of the fall school term. His family will join him as soon as their house, now in the process of construction, construc-tion, is completed. Thirty-five Kiwanians from Roseyelt and 34 from Vernal enjoyed on inter-club Kiwanis picnic Wednesday night, July 27, in Uinta canyon, There will a practice for the Stake Singing Mothers Saturday, Satur-day, Aug. 5, at 3 p. m, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Anderson An-derson returned Wednesday after af-ter a week's trip to Calgary, Canada, Glacier and Yellowstone Yellow-stone national parks. |
