Show ; 1 Don B. Hielson Is Hew Kivvanis President For '55 Don B. Nielson, former Unit Conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service in the Roosevelt area, who recently purchased a farm in the Ballard Bal-lard district, last night was chosen to lead the Roosevelt Kiwanis Club during 1955 as president. He will replace Cliff Memimott, and' wdfll be installed early in January. Other officers who will assist the new president are Johnny Wogec. first vice-president, and DohaJid A. Truman, second vice-president. vice-president. Directors are Lynn Dye, Cecil Mitchell (2-years); Ervil Asay, Pat Roberts, Jack Zimmerman and Orson Stevens (ljyear). Orvll Rudy is a holdover hold-over director, and the retiring president automatically becomes be-comes a member of the board. The new president will appoint a secretary -treasurer, subject to the approval of the directors. Two new members were officially of-ficially inducted into Kiwanis last night, with Past-Pres. Floyd Peterson officiating. They were Owen F. Burgener, music instructor in-structor at Union High, and Lee Ottosen, manager of the Ottosen Sale and Service, distributors dis-tributors of Aiiis - Chalmers farm equipment. |
