Show Attend Plays A large crowd of people from here attended the plays at Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, Tuesday night, Dec. 13th, sponsored by the MIA of Moon Lake stake. The wards taking part were Bluebell, Mt, Emmons and Altonah. The play from Altonah was "Quiet Home Wedding," and' the cast included Willard Bowden, Doris Allred, Kenneth Ralphs, Ruth Allred, Bonnie' Ann Ames, Cleo Clark, Coralie Maxfield, Ruby Weeks, Ronald Powell, Carol Case, and Don Fowler. Marilyn Young played "The Wedding March." Each ward was presented with some records by the stake MIA. Mrs. Arda Ames and Mrs. LaRue Fisher directed the play. Those attending P-TA at Alta-mont Alta-mont Dec. 14 from Altonah were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield, Mr. and Mrs, Kelley Riley, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jacobson and Mr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Timothy. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark and son. Trent, went to Kamas. Dec. 13, to look for a place to move. Mr. and' Mrs. Albert Rochel and Mr. and Mrs. Dru Allred were transacting business in Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, Dec, 16. SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM The Altonah ward Sunday School presented a program Sunday Sun-day afternoon under the direction of Ralph Allred of the Sunday School. A demonstration of "The Real Spirit of Christmas," was the theme. Poem, Max Jacobson; talk, "More Blessed to Give Than to Receive," Ruth Allred; congregation congrega-tion sang, "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day;" talk, "Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self," by Mrs. Nada Murray; talks, "Love In Our Home," Mrs. Mable Maxfield and "Real Christmas Spirit," by Lin-ford Lin-ford Maxfield. Invocation was by Clenty Ames and the benediction by Grant Monsen. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark and George Mecham spent last weekend week-end visiting relatives in Salt Lake City. E. A. Call, of Roosevelt, called at the homes of his daughters, Mrs. Dewey Jessen and Mrs. Reay Jessen, Dec. 15. Mrs. Mary Carroll and son, Jack, were in Vernal Thursday. |
