Show r.lONTlVELL By Bellie Mower Montwel Rodeo Draws Big Crowd The Montwel Rodeo was held Sept. 7th this year with a nice crowd coming out and enjoying the occasion. Labor Day night a dance was held at the Montwel Mont-wel chapel. Everyone enjoyed dancing to Reese Timothy's orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crow, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Crow, Cleo Crow and Les Turr, all of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Loranger and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crow, of Montwel, enjoyed en-joyed a picnic at the Power Plant, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smith, of Salt Lake City, visited friends and relatives here this week. Mrs. Stephen Adams and son, Earl, of Pleasant Grove, visited Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this week with relatives here. Miss LaRene Adams spent the weekend visiting at home. She returned Monday to Salt Lake City, where she is working. work-ing. Mr. and Mrs. James Powell and sons, Dahl and Nelson, visited visit-ed Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Mary Carle and boys, Jack and Gene, of Altonah, vis-' vis-' ited last week with Mr. and Mrs. James Powell and family. Tuesday night a Wigwam '-Wigwag '-Wigwag dance was held at the church. Refreshments were served ser-ved and prizes given. Joyce and Vivian Hamblin celebrated their birthday anniversaries anni-versaries Friday evening at their home with a group of friends enjoying the occasion. Mrs. John Mai Bess spent a week here visiting friends and relatives enroute to Chandler, Arizona from Washington where she visited with her husband who is in the Air Force. She is a former resident of Montwel. Mont-wel. Judy Blanchard celebrated her 7th birthday anniversary last Thursday with a group of friends at her home. A Mutual planning meeting was held Friday night at the church. , Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Adams and son, Stanley, spent Saturday. Satur-day. Sunday and Monday in Pleasant Grove, visiting relatives. rela-tives. They also visited their daughter, LaRene, in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Clark and family, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar English Eng-lish and family, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Perry visited relatives in Pleasant Grove this week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson Thomp-son attended stake Sunday School Union meetin in Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Sunday afternoon. Alden Hamblin, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamblin, celebrated cele-brated his 6th birthday anniversary, anni-versary, S a t u rd a y afternoon with a group of friends at his home. Games were played and refreshments served. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard and family spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake City and Pleasant Grove, visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Florence Ray, of Denver, Den-ver, Colo., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shaw and family. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roberts visited in Pleasant Grove this week. |
