The big news in the M Men basketball this week was the 42-35 defeat the Neola team hung onto the league-leading Myton five, who now find themselves them-selves tied with a rapidly improving im-proving Roosevelt Second, who dumped Moffat 51-29. Roosevelt Roose-velt warders beat Ballard 35-18. Garth Horrocks led a hot Neola team with 15 points, while Lyle Gingel plunked 13 through for the losing Myton five. Next Wednesday, Feb. 3, will find the two leaders, who boast a 6-1 record (unless games last night changed the picture), will meet for the leadership, and perhaps the championship. In the Explorer division things remained pretty much the same with Roosevelt ward still leading the pack with 8 wins, followed by Ballard's 7-1 standing. A double schedule has been added to the Explorers, who are playing twice weekly Monday and Wendesdav ' |
