Show 1 Reservation News - - - j About The A t UINTAH-OURAY INDIAN RESERVATION J MEETING CALLED There will be a meeting for Ute Indians at Ft. Duchesne on Wednesday, February 3, 1954 at 2 p.m. in the Agency Building. Build-ing. Health films will be shown. R-N TO GIVE RADIO PROGRAM Irene Cesspoons, Charlene and Phyllis Quitchapoo have been selected by the Uintah County School District to present the Reservation program over Radio Rad-io Station KJAM at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 3, 1954. They have selected select-ed as the topic for discussion, "Why I Go To High School." A director of personnel for the school district will interview the girls and lead the discussion. discus-sion. The girls attend Union High School. Irene is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Alberto, of Randlett. Phyllis and Charlene are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Quitchapoo, of Whiterocks. R-N CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN The Randlett community have finished a general Clean-Up campaign. The men and boys have moved tons of trash and debris from the premises surrounding sur-rounding the homes, while the women and girls completely renovated the interior. Several trucks were required to remove tin cans, trash and debris as fast as it was collected and placed in convenient piles. The yards and surrounding grounds at Randlett have a much neater appearance as a result of this outstanding community activity. In the spring the community plans to plant trees, shrubs, flowers and get lawns started, i It is hoped that everyone on the reservation will see what is being done at Randlett and im prove the appearance of their own home. Nice yards and grounds are needed to go with the new homes that have been constructed in the past few j years. R-N DIES AT AGE 81 Grandma Wopsock, age 81, passed away at her home in Whiterocks, Jan. 21. 1954, following fol-lowing a long illness. Funeral" services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Episcopal Mission Mis-sion in Whiterocks and she was buried in the famii XI the home.
